We celebrate you and pray that, as you conclude this chapter and embark on the next, you would seek the Lord in all you do and find that He is enough! No matter where life takes you next, our hope is that NP Berean will always be a church you can come back to and call home. “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” –Romans 15:13 (NIV)
Sunday, May 9, 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Garage Café
For Mother’s Day, we’d like to celebrate moms of all kinds: biological, adoptive, and spiritual (women who have contributed to helping you grow in your relationship with Christ). Head over to the Garage Café (across Vine St. to the east), choose a backdrop, ask someone to take a photo, and say “cheese”!

How can we get ready for the next steps God has for us as a church? In 2021, we’re committing to grow, share, and connect. Find out more and take your next step at npberean.org/getting-ready.
Update for those interested in sharing financially: Our $300k facility debt when we launched Getting Ready (11/15/2020) is now down to about $22k (as of October 2021) – praise the Lord! We’d love to have this paid off and seed money for what He has next, such as church planting or greater investment in benevolence opportunities in our community. If you’re committed to this financial aspect of Getting Ready, please be sure you’ve filled out a commitment card at npberean.org/grgive to help us plan and communicate effectively.
Sat. 4/24, morning or afternoon
NPBC
Sign up for a morning or afternoon shift. Task list has lots of options – indoors-outdoors, skilled-unskilled, heavy duty-light duty – so we can find a place for you to share your time & talents! Write “workday” on a ConnectCard or sign up online!
Starting Sun. 4/25
To help us make the most of our time together in worship, we’ve moved up our former 9:30 a.m. gathering to begin at 9:15 instead. (Note: This means the livestream now starts at 9:15 a.m., too.) Other times remain the same: 8 & 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Press play on the video below (our gathering from 4/11) for a 90-second overview from John (from 25:46 to 27:17) on why we’re trying out this change. In a nutshell:
We’re finding that when we start at 9:30, if the gathering lasts much beyond an hour, we start to have parking issues.
We want parents to be able to connect with their child’s small group leader when picking them up from Kids Connect as part of how we partner with you to lead your child into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Too little time between gatherings shortchanges these connections.
Possible ideas for addressing these challenges could include shortening our gathering times or shifting times. Shorter gatherings feels very constricting, so shifting the 9:30 gathering to start at 9:15 instead seemed like our best option to try first.
Mon. 5/3, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Please RSVP so we can be prepared – write “Take a Step” on a ConnectCard or RSVP online here.
There are three different serving roles on the Brew Crew team: Master Brewer, 9:15 Coffee Host, and 11:00 Coffee Host/Clean-up. As we seek to prepare you well to regularly serve in this ministry area, we ask that you take time to watch these three training videos and consider which role you’d enjoy serving in. (even if you only serve in one role, it is helpful to have an understanding of all three).
Another crucial part of serving on the Brew Crew is Scheduling. Learning to use the Planning Center Services app is a necessity, so that you know when you are requested to serve and we can know that we have someone planning to serve in each of the roles each Sunday. The video below will tell you all that you need to know to get set up and running on Services.
If you have any questions on the details of the process or scheduling before you serve, please email Andrew. Thank you so much for sharing your time & talents at North Platte Berean!

Fri. 4/2, 7 p.m.
Auditorium & 252 Room
As we prepare our hearts to celebrate Jesus' resurrection on Easter, we're gathering on Good Friday to remember His crucifixion. (Note: The churches we've been with for past Good Fridays decided unanimously that we'd pause gathering together again this year and resume next year, Lord willing.)
Please know this year's Good Friday gathering will have a very different flavor – more reflective, considering the suffering and sorrow of Christ and how that relates to our own. We'll have an unstaffed nursery available, and the 252 Room will be an area where families with children can allow them to move around as needed.
For more on the power and beauty of lament, see this article from Preaching Today (article is now preview only…here’s a short video that captures many of the key highlights).
Thu. 4/1, 1-7 p.m.
