Here at Sola we love students, having fun, and most of all, Jesus. We strive to create a safe, fun environment for students to connect with each other and encounter the Word of God in an understandable way. We don’t want to teach moralism; rather, our desire is to help each student develop a faith and relationship that centers on Jesus Christ and His love and purpose for them.

Be sure to "like" our Sola Facebook page or follow us on Instagram to keep up-to-date on all that we are doing! And we’d love for parents to join our Sola Parents Facebook group as we seek to partner with families as a whole and create an online community for parents to be a part of.

Our weekly gatherings

Wednesday

Nights

Sola gathers on Wednesdays – middle school (grades 6-8) from 6-7:45 p.m. and high school (grades 9-12) from 7:30-9 p.m. All students start off outside on Vine St. when the weather is nice. When the weather isn’t ideal, we start things off in the “new space” (South end of church building).

Each week we seek to incorporate a game time, worship, Truth from God’s word, and then a time of connection through small groups (divided up by grade and gender). We really believe that this overarching structure helps to create opportunities for students to have fun, hear Truth, and build relationships with their small group leaders and peers. Ultimately, we want to create opportunities for students to encounter Jesus and grow in authentic relationship with Him!

Sundays

Our heart for students on Sundays is that they would take steps to “engage in the life of the Church.” A few years ago, Fuller Youth Institute did an extensive study showing the direct connection between students who go on to thrive in their faith after High School and the fact that almost all of those students had made “engaging in the life of the Church” a priority in their formative years. So, whether your child is in Middle school or High school, our hope is that students would adopt these priorities to help them take steps to develop their faith!

1) Engage in the large corporate gathering with their families (or small groups) on a regular basis. (8,9:15, or 11 a.m.)

2) Explore serving opportunities to discover how God has created and gifted them to serve Him through the local church. (Click HERE for more information on serving).

Please note: There is a gathering for 6th graders at 9:15 am & 11 a.m. in “The Upper Rooms” (3rd floor of the church). All 6th grade students are welcome!

For the safety of our students and volunteer leaders, each student coming to Sola is required to have a current Release Form on file. (The form is updated each year, running from 7/1 of the current year to 9/31 of the coming year.) You can complete the form online, download a printable version, or have your student pick one up at Sola.
