Welcome to the Easter Prayer Initiative! We'll be posting new prayer prompts each week (Wednesdays at 7 a.m.), offering ideas for how you can be praying for our church family and our larger community as we prepare to celebrate Jesus' death and resurrection at Easter.
In this first week of our Easter Prayer Initiative, please pray for Our Community. Consider someone you know who doesn’t attend (or might even be resistant to attend) a church, and pray for her or him to have:
Interest in attending a Jesus-preaching church on Easter
Good "heart soil" for seeds planted by the Word (Matt. 13:23)
Protection from the Enemy's schemes of distraction and deception
A positive response to the gospel
Spiritual movement (whether we see it or not)
Willingness to think/talk about spiritual matters before and/or after Easter
Please pray that many would hear, understand, and receive the gift offered through Christ’s life, death, and resurrection on Easter.
In the weeks leading up to Easter, we’re praying for the Lord to use this time of spiritual openness to move powerfully in our hearts and in the hearts of those He brings across our path. Sign up to receive weekly prayer prompts – visit npberean.org/pray or write “Easter prayer” on a ConnectCard along with your name and contact info.
Come join us for a time of epic fun, long-lasting memories, and life-changing teaching and worship for all ages! We have a variety of retreats this spring for young adults, men, women, and families. You can also experience the excitement of camp this summer. You will have the opportunity to learn about how the Lord pursues you, and how to pursue others, through Jesus’ teachings in Luke 15. To register for an event or for more information, see us in the foyer, visit maranathacamp.org, or call 308-582-4513. You can save 10% on our summer programs by registering before April 10!
Do you have 15 minutes over your lunch hour? Do you like to read to little kids? If your answer is yes, we would love for you to help us partner with Lincoln Elementary for Read Across America Week. You simply go to a classroom and read to them for 15 minutes. You pick the day and time. It is as easy as that. Sign-ups are in the foyer. If you have any questions, contact Melissa Friedrich.
Serving in our local body can open up many possibilities for growth in your relationship with Jesus! Check out the SERVE wall (foyer, next to restrooms) for many opportunities to find your place here in our Berean family! You can also check any boxes on a ConnectCard (in the backs of the auditorium chairs or online at npberean.org/cc) for more information about certain areas. Serving can give you a place to live out our mission: “Leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.” For help finding a great fit for you to use your gifts and bless others, you can also contact Robyn Huffman.
Students! (Grades 6-12) Don’t miss out on this great opportunity to disconnect from everyday life and quiet down at Maranatha Camp, so that you have a chance to hear God speak to you in a new and fresh way! RECLAIM is the theme for the Winter Youth Retreat; it’s a weekend of EPIC fun but also intentional teaching and worship in an amazing setting. The retreat is from Saturday at 2pm through Monday after lunch. To find out more, go to maranathacamp.org/events/winter-youth-retreat or contact Andrew Walker.
