A Starting Point Group is a short-term (7-week) chance for you to get connected to others as you “try out” being in a small group. This opportunity is especially geared toward people who are new to church or to Jesus and who want to experience what it looks like to be in a Grow Group at Berean.

Starting Point Groups will begin the week of September 15 at these times:

• Sundays at 9:00 a.m.

• Sundays at 11:00 a.m.

• Monday evenings

• Tuesday evenings

• Wednesday evenings

Keep in mind that our Sunday options allow you to come as a family to one of the gatherings and attend a Starting Point Group during the other gathering as your children go to their own small group in Kids Connect.

During the past few weeks, teams have returned from Vancouver, WA; Peru; and Colombia. You are invited to hear their stories at a pizza lunch get-together following the second gathering. Come hear how they served, shared the gospel, and celebrated the Lord with others.

Make an impact in the life of a Lincoln Elementary student by mentoring for one hour once a week. Sign up today in the foyer or on the ConnectCard. Learn about more opportunities to invest in our neighborhood school at the foyer table.

SAVE THE DATE for the Berean Women’s Overnighter! This 24-hour retreat at Maranatha is for Berean women from seniors in high school to age 120. Be watching for more details!

In the foyer, between the coatrack and restrooms, we have a few cubbies for lost-and-found. To make space for new items, we’ll be donating or discarding any unclaimed items on Monday, 8/12. Please stop by before then to check for any items that belong to you!

All Elementary and Middle School students begin their 2019-20 Small Groups (based on grade you’ll be in for 2019-20 school year). 252 (K-5th) meets at 9 & 11 a.m. upstairs & at 6 p.m. in the PreK room, Middle Schoolers meet in the Garage Café at 11 a.m.

Outside work has progressed with installation of exterior brick, windows, and doors, and the interior has had progress on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and framing. The next couple weeks we’ll be working on exterior windows, electrical rough-in, stucco for exterior walls, fire escape walls, fire sprinklers, drywall, exterior building trim, and gutters.

Sun. 7/21, after each gathering, New Building: We invite you to join us in dedicating the New Building to the Lord. Stop by after any of this Sunday’s gatherings to pray and write Scripture on the metal studs – there will be prayer prompts and Sharpies for you on a table in the new hallway. Please only write on the shiny metal studs, not on anything else, especially the floor (as most of it will be a finished polished floor).

Sat. 8/24, 3-8 p.m., Maranatha Camp

Save the date for Welcome All – Grow Small on August 24. We will come together as one large gathering out at Maranatha Camp to enjoy waterfront activities from 3-6 p.m. (optional), followed by baptisms and then a time of worshiping together from 78 p.m. Plan to bring lawn chairs and a picnic supper for your family (concessions also available for purchase at the Sweet Shop from 5-6 p.m.).
