Prayer Prompts - Week 9 (8/5-8/11)

As you continue to prayer walk, we are asking that the Lord would make you especially sensitive to spiritual strongholds that hold people captive. Pray for victory through the Lord!

This week's theme: Pray for spiritual strongholds to be broken – bind the "strong man" (Matthew 12:28-30)

  • Day 1: Pray for freedom from addictions (Galatians 5:1)

  • Day 2: Pray God will expose and deliver from evil (2 Timothy 4:17-18)

  • Day 3: Pray He will rescue people from the kingdom of darkness (Colossians 1:13)

Prayer Prompts - Week 8 (7/29-8/4)

We will soon be starting our third month of prayer walking! We hope this has blessed you in unexpected ways. This week, in addition to praying as the Spirit leads, pray for God’s powerful blessings:

This week's theme: Pray blessing on households (Isaiah 44:3)

  • Day 1: Pray He will bless our marriages and families (Ephesians 5:21)

  • Day 2: Pray for our neighborhoods (Acts 17:26)

  • Day 3: Pray for a legacy of faithfulness (Genesis 12:3)

Cleaning Out the Mailboxes and Lost-and-Found

Mon. 8/13Have you checked your mail lately? In the foyer, across from the information center, we have mail folders for everyone to use, sorted by first letter of your last name, along with a couple cubbies for lost-and-found. To make sure we have room in the lost-and-found, we will be thinning out unclaimed items on Monday, August 13. So before then, please stop by to pick up any items that belong to you! Items remaining on the 13th will be donated to charity or discarded.

Prayer Prompts - Week 7 (7/22-7/28)

When it is especially hot, and you don’t feel like prayer walking, you can always prayer-drive! Maybe this week the Spirit will lead you to expand your prayer focus:

This week's theme: Pray for repentance on behalf of the city (Nehemiah 1:5-7)

  • Day 1: Pray God will purify us (James 4:8)

  • Day 2: Pray for His forgiveness (Matthew 6:15)

  • Day 3: Pray for reconciliation in relationships (Matthew 5:23-24)

Honoring Our Missionaries

Sat. 7/28, 1-3 p.m., Fellowship Hall The NPBC Missions Leadership Team invites you to join us in honoring Charlie and Debbie Shimmin for their 37 years of serving as our missionaries in Thailand!

Let's Map Our Prayer Walking!

So grateful for all you faithful prayer walkers! To encourage and support you, we've posted area maps here at the church building, in the alcove next to the restrooms. Could you show where you've been prayer walking? Just mark the route you've walked on the appropriate map using one of the colored pens next to the maps. Whether you've prayer walked an area once or multiple times, only mark it one time on the map. If someone else has already marked that route, use a different color pen so we know that the area has been prayed for by more than one person/group. Excited to see how much of Lincoln County we are touching with prayer!

Prayer Prompts - Week 6 (7/15-7/21)

While it is important to pray for individual unbelievers, don’t forget to also lift up the leaders who can impact our city so strongly. As you are led by the Spirit in prayer, also consider this focus:

This week's theme: Pray for leaders and those in authority over us (1 Tim. 2:1-4)

  • Day 1: Pray for wisdom (James 1:5)

  • Day 2: Pray with respect (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13)

  • Day 3: Pray for safety and courage (Joshua 1:9)

In May & November 2017 we had gatherings to share how the body can rise up in unity and support “Creating spaces to reach more faces.” Whether you’re new since then or just weren’t able to come, would you consider joining us in the Garage Cafe between the 9 and 11 a.m. gatherings on 7/29 or 8/5? On both of those Sundays, we’ll have one-hour worship gatherings immediately followed by an opportunity for you to find out more about the Creating Spaces campaign and how you can join us. Please consider coming for one of these two weeks!
