Hometown Hope Initiative for Advent

In our Hometown Hope initiative for Advent, we're seeking to bring the light of Jesus into our community in practical ways. Here are 3 simple ways you can participate:

  1. Watch and share the #hometownhope videos on our Facebook page, and consider supporting these businesses by shopping local.

  2. Check out the hometownhope calendar. Then submit local events, savings, and opportunities that you know of that are missing from the page to help make it better!

  3. The next time your barista hands you your coffee, a cashier checks you out, or a waitress brings you your check, remind them they matter through a simple You Matter card. With the card, include a generous tip as a way to spread hope. The link on the card (npberean.org/youmatter) will point them to the gospel! Interested? Pick up cards at the information center on Sunday mornings or at the church office during the week.

Come Experience the Nativity Story!

Sun. 12/6 - Fri. 12/25, 5-10 p.m., NPBC

Follow the Star to our self-guided, drive-through Nativity experience, available every night from 5-10 at the church building. Vehicles can enter at the northwest parking lot entrance. You can engage the story by video or audio at npberean.org/nativity-story, or read the Scripture next to each station. For an extra-special experience, visit on Friday, Dec. 11 or 18 from 6-8 p.m., when we’ll be delivering refreshments to your vehicle as you conclude the drive-through experience. If you’d like to volunteer to help direct traffic either of those two evenings, please contact robynhuffman@npberean.org or call the church office.

Christmas Eve Celebration

Thu. 12/24; on the hour each hour from 2-7 p.m.; Auditorium

Watch our Christmas Eve Celebration this year! You can do so digitally from home (it will be available on our web site early on Christmas Eve) or you can watch with others in person in the auditorium. Several times are available, and we need your help! To ensure we have good distancing and enough space for all who want to come, would you please RSVP at npberean.org/register for which way you plan to engage the celebration (even if you’ll be watching digitally from home)? While you’re at that site, you can also read a bit more detail about our plans and about the self-directed Christmas Eve Communion we’ll be offering, too.

Follow up with Brady Cone

After Sunday’s message (11/22), do you need someone to talk to? Have more questions? Please email us at elders@npberean.org – we’d love to support you as you wrestle with issues related to sexuality and gender identity.

Looking for more resources? Have more questions? Want to keep up with Calibrate Ministries and how you can be praying for them? Get more info or connect with them at their web site, or sign up to receive their newsletter.
