Tuesday, March 15, 5 or 7 p.m., Fellowship HallThe Passover Seder is a Jewish ritual feast that marks the beginning of the Jewish holiday of Passover and involves a retelling of the story of the liberation of the Israelites from slavery in ancient Egypt. This is a symbolic representation of the typical Jewish meal with small samplings of food. It is not a full meal. Attendance is limited to those who have already signed up for the meal and paid for their tickets. We are expecting a full house. Please plan to attend the session that you signed up for so we can accommodate all who registered to attend.
Friday, March 11 – Saturday, March 12, Maranatha Bible CampMiddle-schoolers: join us out at Camp Maranatha for a stay-up-all-night lock-in! We will play wild, wacky, and possibly ridiculous games through the wee hours of the night, and you just might go home with a rubber chicken. Cost: $35. Meet out at Maranatha at 6 p.m. on Friday the 11th; pick up at 8 a.m. on Saturday the 12th. Parent release form required.
Due to the HS Ski Retreat, there will be no HS Sunday School on Sunday.
Saturday, March 12, 5-8:30 p.m., Fellowship HallGuys, bring your friends and a dish of wild (or not-so-wild) game to share, and join us at NPBC for a great evening of food and fun for guys of all ages! The doors open at 5:00 with outdoor displays and time to just hang out. Dinner will start at 6:00, with a speaker beginning around 6:30 and a Q&A time with a couple Game and Parks guys. Tuesday, March 15, 5 or 7 p.m., Fellowship HallYou are invited to attend a Passover Seder meal! The Seder meal is the traditional Passover meal to remember the suffering and persecution of the Jewish people in Egypt and the miraculous way that God brought them out of slavery. This experience can help us prepare for Easter by deepening our understanding of Passover and the way that it set the stage for Jesus – the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world.
Leading us in the Seder meal will be Avi Snyder, a veteran missionary and director of the European work of Jews for Jesus. Jews for Jesus is an agency that proclaims that Jesus is the Messiah of Israel and Savior of the world, but the founders of this organization are quick to point out that Jews for Jesus actually began about 2,000 years ago – Jesus’ first disciples were Jewish, and there have been some Jewish people who have believed in Him ever since. The cost of this meal is $3 per person or $12 per family, and you can come at either 5:00 or 7:00 p.m. In order to prepare for this meal, it is important that you register in advance. This will be an extended weekend of skiing, ice skating, snowball fights, archery tag, hiking, Bible study, and much more. Retreat from the everyday and reconnect with Christ and one another on this exciting trip.
