Greetings,

It was a pleasure to have your student come check out our Wednesday night gathering. It takes a lot of courage to step out and try something new so we are thankful that they were willing to check it out. It is our hope and prayer that even as a first time guest, your student felt welcomed, loved, and valued. Our desire is for each student that comes through our door to have fun, hear Truth from God's word, and build relationships with their peers and small group leaders.

The mission of the church is, “Leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ,” and we want nothing more than to see students be a part of that mission. We would love to see your student come to know who Jesus Christ is and grow in a personal relationship with Him. We believe the best way we can help students move towards that mission is by helping them build intentional and personal relationships within a small group of their peers and leaders each week at Sola!

Not only do we want to partner with your student as they continue to attend Sola, but we want to also partner with YOU as the parent. One way to partner with you is through communication. Our main way of communication will be through our new North Platte Berean Church App! Mass texts and emails will only be sent as a last resort on rare occasions. We would like to encourage you to take a few minutes to set up this app. If you follow the instructions below, you will have all that you need to be looped in!

Description of each area of communication in the App:

Push Notifications: Signing up for push notifications will allow you to receive logistical information about Sola, events, changes, or last-minute announcements. You can control what messages you receive. If you do not attend Berean regularly, you can turn off General Notifications (church-wide announcements) so that all you receive will be Sola-related ones! (Note: Your teen can also sign up for push notifications if you would like!)

Parent Messaging Group: Joining this group will allow you to receive in-depth details about Sola. Here, you will find ways to engage deeper with your teen on lessons, find resources, and receive monthly Sola newsletters.

Supplemental communications (esp. for students) - not any key info here that’s different from what we’ll send you via the app:

Social Media Pages: Instagram and Facebook will still be used regularly for highlights and updates.

Wednesday Announcements / Send Home Papers: We will still announce events at Sola to students and send home information that way.

Lastly, we would absolutely love to see you and your student on Sunday mornings for our large gatherings as well. The gatherings are at 8am, 9:30am, and 11am. Our hope for students on Sunday mornings is that they make attending the large gathering with their families their number one priority!

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Thanks!
