• When we do not fully practice what we preach, is this hypocrisy or disobedience or both?

Talk it out

• What outward signs are a clear indication of inward transformation? Why?

• In areas of our lives that we want the Spirit to change, what do we do if nothing seems to be changing?

Live it out

• Identify a way your outer behavior does not match your inner convictions. Honestly share this with someone who can help you seek alignment.

• Pray the chorus of “From the Inside Out.” Make it your continual heart cry this week.

• How do you view your own “standing” before God? How does the gospel change a guilty verdict?

• What is your reaction to Francis Schaeffer’s recorder illustration?

Talk it out

• In what situations do you find yourself quick to judge? What triggers that reaction?  

• What is going on inside of you when you know the right or true way, yet choose to do the opposite?

Live it out

• Write a prayer asking God to change an area of your life where your heart is hard or your perspective is skewed.

• Listen to “Death was Arrested” daily. Celebrate all the ways Jesus has changed your heart.

Think it out

• What has been your understanding of God’s wrath? Watch this helpful video on how God is slow to anger.

• Watch this video clip. How does cosmic grandeur make God evident to all humanity?

Talk it out

• What can cloud a right understanding of God’s wrath?

• Consider this C.S. Lewis quote. Why do we exchange “infinite joy” for lesser things? How are we too “easily pleased?”

Live it out

• Write down at least one way you have exchanged truth for lies. Pray daily for God’s help to choose truth instead.

• Listen to “Firm Foundation” daily. Each time ask, “Am I living out this truth today?”
