July 12 - Are you satisfied?

Psalm 63:1-11

Grow:

  • Consider the biblical meaning of “soul” by watching this BibleProject video.

  • As you listen to this song, reflect on the truths of Psalm 63.

  • Where are you most tempted to seek satisfaction apart from God? Write a prayer to God, asking Him to be your satisfaction.

Share:

  • Name one practical way you will intentionally seek God this week (prayer, scripture, worship, solitude, community) rather than looking elsewhere for satisfaction.

  • What tends to occupy your thoughts when your mind is quiet? (verse 6) What might it look like to intentionally meditate on God in those moments?

Connect:

  • When spiritually “dry,” what practices help you seek God rather than simply waiting to “feel” close to Him?

  • “God, because _________ , I will ___________.” Fill in blanks. (For example: “God, because you never leave me, I will trust in you always). Share then turn into prayers to the Lord.

  • Explore Psalm 24 together to prepare for next week’s sermon.
