Prayer Prompts – Week 6 (7/15-7/21)

While it is important to pray for individual unbelievers, don’t forget to also lift up the leaders who can impact our city so strongly. As you are led by the Spirit in prayer, also consider this focus:
This week’s theme: Pray for leaders and those in authority over us (1 Tim. 2:1-4)
  • Day 1: Pray for wisdom (James 1:5)
  • Day 2: Pray with respect (1 Thessalonians 5:12-13)
  • Day 3: Pray for safety and courage (Joshua 1:9)

Prayer Prompts – Week 5 (7/8-7/14)

As you walk through your neighborhoods, may the Spirit lead your praying to specifically pray for unbelievers.
This week’s theme: Claim them in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 4:10)
  • Day 1: Pray He will open doors to tell people about Jesus (Luke 10:5-9)

Prayer Prompts – Week 4 (7/1-7/7)

You are already in the second month of prayer walking! We’re praying you will continue strong and not be discouraged by the enemy. As you pray as the Spirit leads, also consider praying for protection:

  • Day 1: Pray that God will strengthen and mature us (1 Peter 5:8-10)
  • Day 2: Pray that the Lord will destroy the schemes of the devil (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)
  • Day 3: Pray that He will dispel darkness (1 Peter 2:9)

Prayer Prompts – Week 3 (6/24-6/30)

Isn’t it such an encouragement to think of people prayer walking all over our community? This week, in addition to praying as the Spirit leads, consider your brothers and sisters in Christ:
This week’s theme: Pray for the Body of Christ (James 5:16)
  • Day 1: Pray for unity and love for each other (Ephesians 4:1-3)
  • Day 2: Pray for revival – Stir us to prayer and boldness to speak the name of Jesus (Ephesians 6:18-19)
  • Day 3:Pray for North Platte Berean and other churches to put on the whole armor of God (Ephesians 6:13-17)

Prayer Prompts – Week 2 (6/17-6/23)

We hope you are off to a great start in your prayer walking as you call out to God for our city and its people. This week, in addition to praying as the Spirit leads, consider this prayer focus:
This week’s theme: Pray for surrender and submission (James 4:6-7)
  • Day 1: Pray that God’s will be done (Matthew 26:41-42)
  • Day 2: Pray in humility (James 4:10)

Prayer Prompts – Week 1 (6/10-6/16)

Thank you for joining together to pray for the next 12 weeks! We are so grateful for your partnership with us in this ministry of seeing hearts in Lincoln County turned toward Jesus. This first week we’ll be calling out to God and especially praising His greatness.
We’d encourage you to read the Scripture references before you go out to prayer walk, and then ask the Spirit to call them to your mind as you’re praying.
Don’t forget to look over Ted and Judy’s bulletin insert from yesterday as you begin this prayer walking experience. That can be helpful in giving us a framework as we begin this ministry. If you lost yours, see the 10 Steps to Prayer Walking on our Summer Prayer Walking page.
Again, thank you for your labor for the Lord. Remember, as Paul said in 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” (CSB)
This week’s theme: Call to God (2 Chronicles 7:14)

  • Day 2: Call to God in gratitude for all He has done (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
  • Day 3: Call to God in desperation (Psalm 27:13)
