WRC’s Post-Abortion Healing Group

Begins in February
An abortion is often a decision made in haste, out of fear, or even coercion. Many women regret that decision. If you are someone who has an abortion in your past, you may be suffering from guilt, or the feeling that God could never forgive you or could never love you. You may be suffering from things you never connected with Post-Abortion Stress, such as depression, nightmares, eating disorders, or a drug/alcohol problem. You are not alone in your hurting. The Women’s Resource Center will be offering a confidential 9-week Post-Abortion Healing Group beginning in February. Take the first step to healing and call 308-534-1440 to get confidential information.

Share the Blessing Thanksgiving meal

You’re invited!

We will be serving our annual Share the Blessing Thanksgiving meal on Tuesday, November 25, and we’d love to have you join us! Come anytime between 5:30 and 8:00 pm to enjoy a delicious meal and caring conversation. We’ll be in the Fellowship Hall, which is on the northwest corner of Vine and 7th (see our Visit page for a map).

Interested in helping?

This is a great opportunity for our church family to bless our community with a small taste of how God has blessed us. All of us, young or old, can share from what God has given us, whether by providing food, helping set up, serving food, or cleaning up afterwards.

Would you please click here to let us know how you can help us serve? We’d also love to have lots of us come to the meal, both to enjoy the food and to spend time with one another and with those from the community who will come. Hope to see you there!

Learn about partnership

Partnering is an active way to be used in God’s kingdom. Every member of Christ’s body has a vital role to play, and we love to see each part playing their part! To get a better sense of how this looks and who we are check out these links:
  • Our Ministry Partner Commitment details the core information about partnership.
  • Our FAQ document answers some of the most common questions about partnership.
  • Our What we believe page describes our mission, values, and core beliefs.

Partner with us

Step 1. Getting to know each other’s stories: Begin connecting with others at NPBC.
Step 2. Learning about partnership: Attend a “Partnership Exploration” with an elder, staff member, or GROW group leader to get more complete details about partnership.
Step 3. Demonstrating the partnership commitments: Demonstrate the partnership commitments and submit the Ministry Partner Commitment form to the office.
Step 4. Recommendation from GROW group leader: Ask your GROW group leader to submit a recommendation to the office.
Step 5. Elder review: Elders meet with you to finalize the recommendation. Upon approval, the elders send an official notification of partnership.

GROW Group Leader Recommendation:

** Note that for your GROW group leader to fill out the recommendation online, you will need to contact them with the following info:
  • Share briefly about your spiritual journey. What do you believe about Jesus Christ?
  • Have you ever been baptized? If yes, when and why did you decide to do that? If no, are you interested in talking with someone further about baptism?
