Engage: Make a Difference

Sunday, August 30, 6:30-8:30 PM, NPBC
Ever feel like you’re just spinning your wheels? Ever wonder what will come of all your hard work? What if you could identify one step to take, and be confident that it will make a lasting difference? Join us at Make a Difference to be encouraged and equipped to engage our mission of leading people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ!

Our time together will be guided by the questions, “How can I know that what I’m doing will have a lasting spiritual impact? How can I really make a difference?” We’ll start with an inspiring message about the value and power of the gospel, followed by workshops where we’ll get extremely practical, actually trying out possible next steps that each of us can take to make a difference – right where God has us, right now. Get more details and sign up to join us – visit npberean.org/engage or pick up the flyer from the information center.

Update on Family Fish Fry

Due to scheduling conflicts, we are postponing the Family Fish Fry that was planned for August 9. We’re not quite sure of all the details yet, because we’re also working to make it an even better event for the whole family. Stay tuned!

Children’s Ministry Tour & Info Session

Sunday, August 9 or Sunday, August 16, 11 AM, Family Matters
100 years from now the only thing that will matter is someone’s relationship with Jesus Christ. That’s why we do what we do in Children’s Ministry. Each week dozens of volunteers make potentially lasting spiritual investments as they partner with parents in leading kids into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Some work directly with kids, and others invest their time and talents behind the scenes to make what happens on Sundays possible. Come find out where you might fit by participating in the Children’s Ministry Orientation & Tour. You could make a difference in someone’s eternity!

Start Here! Parents Join 252!

Sunday, August 2, 11 AM, 252
“Mommy, why did Jesus die on a cross?” “Daddy, how do Christians get to heaven?” Kids have a way of asking important faith questions in ways that make us stare blankly ahead, wishing the other parent was there instead of us. We understand the answer to the question but struggle to explain it to our kids in a way that really communicates truth in a way they understand. Parents, join your kids in 252 at 11:00 on August 2. You’ll leave with an understanding of how to talk with your child about the gospel. We’ll also talk about the next step of baptism and how we want to partner with you at these key spiritual milestones. START HERE – leading kids into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

Office Staff Transition

After 12 years of faithful service, Anita Lehman (Financial Secretary) has taken a FT job opportunity with a financial company in town. While we’re sad she’s leaving our office team, we’re sending her out with joy and confidence, knowing God will use her in her new role. When you call or drop by the office now, you can ask for Liza Smith or our newest admin – Amy Woods. Amy joined our team in June, and we’re thrilled to have her on-board!
